In this video, I demonstrate how to identify and remove contacts with errors, specifically error codes 30003, 30005, and 30006, from SMS workflows. By exporting and managing failed messages weekly, we ensure efficient communication by excluding problematic contacts. No action is needed if all messages are delivered successfully.

The objective of this video is to guide users on how to remove contacts from the workflow that have errors such as 30003, 30005, or 30006. By following these steps, you will ensure that contacts with errors are removed from the outbound sms workflows to maintain a high deliver rate.

Objective of this video is to show users how to remove contacts with Twilio error codes from workflows to prevent further errors and maintain a high deliverability rate.

  1. Turn on Stat View

    • Shows deliver error rates within templates

    • Includes delivered, clicked, failed for each sms template in the workflow

  2. Export Failed Contacts

    • Click on failed in the sms stat view

    • Hit refresh button and ensure you have clicked onto the failed button

    • Hit export to get a list of contacts with errors

    • Refresh and repeat for each SMS template

  3. Regular Maintenance

    • Conduct this process weekly to stay on top of errors

  4. Purpose of the Process

    • Remove contacts with errors (e.g., 30003, 30005, 30006 Twilio error codes) from the workflow

    • Reduce future errors and maintain a low error rate.

    • Prevent accumulation of errors by removing contacts with Twilio error codes from the workflow.

    • Improve deliverability rates by removing error-prone contacts.

    • Bulk action to remove contacts from the workflow, but it does not delete them.

  5. Implementing the Exported List

    • Go through all SMS templates to export contacts with errors

    • Go to contacts, import the exported list

    • Enter Twilio error as the tag, the tag should auto populate as you are typing it in. if it doesn't ensure you are spelling it correctly with appropriate spacing as selecting the wrong tag will result in no actions being taken.

  6. Result of Importing

    • Contacts with errors are moved out of the workflow

    • Placed in the Twilio error pipeline in the dialer section

    • Provides an opportunity to call these contacts instead of texting them

  7. Workflow Activation

    • Tagging contacts with Twilio error activates a workflow

    • Removes contacts from any workflows

    • Ensures no more messages are sent to contacts with errors

    • Moves contacts to Twilio error Pipeline located under the Dialer Opportunities

  8. Importance of Clearing Errors

    • Prevents being charged for messages that can't be delivered

    • Helps maintain an error rate of 10% or below, as recommended by Twilio

    • Ensure contacts will not be sent another sms message

  9. Outcome and Impact

    • The removal of contacts with error does not affect the overall statistics of the SMS performance.

    • The focus is on maintaining a low error rate, improving deliverability, and optimizing workflow efficiency.

    • By promptly removing error-prone contacts, future errors are reduced
