In this video, I guide you through creating and managing DRIPS in our workflows. I explain the difference between per day and minute DRIPS, how to update DRIPS, and move contacts between DRIPS. Follow along as I demonstrate the process step by step, ensuring smooth workflow management.

The objective of this video is to show users how to create a new DRIP in workflows to control the flow of contacts through events per day or per minute efficiently. This can be used to increase or decrease daily messages sent or move contacts out of s drip that there are stuck in.

Creating and Managing DRIPs in Workflows

  1. Understanding DRIPs

    • DRIPs control the flow of contacts through events in workflows.

    • Per day DRIPs determine how many contacts pass through a DRIP event each day.

    • Minute DRIPs control how many contacts pass through the DRIP event per min. which contacts move through the workflow. (having a setting of 1 contact per min would be every minute a contact would pass through the min DRIP and move through the workflow resulting in them receiving an sms message sent)

    • This ensure we stagger out the messages send, having a 1 per min will result in 60 messages to 60 contacts being sent out per hour.

  2. Reasons for Updating DRIPs

    • Scaling up the number of messages you would like to send daily.

    • Correcting issues like stuck contacts at the DRIP event.

    • Decreasing the amount of messages you would like to send daily.

  3. Creating a New DRIP

    • Access the workflow and locate the DRIP to be updated.

    • Delete the existing DRIP action ONLY if there are no contacts at that current event.

    • If there are contacts at that particular event you will see an icon of a person's head along with numbers.

    • Add a new DRIP action with the desired settings (e.g., changing from 360 to 480 contacts per day).

  4. Moving Contacts to a New DRIP

    • Identify the contacts currently staged at that current drip event.

    • Click on the shaded box right on top of the event where there is an icon of a person's head alone with a number.

    • This will then open a pop up to the right showing you a list of contacts staged at that current event.

    • Use the move all function to transfer contacts to the new DRIP.

    • Note that it may take time for all contacts to shift to the new DRIP.

  5. Managing DRIPs

    • Monitor the workflow to ensure contacts are moving through the new DRIP.

    • Delete old DRIP actions once all contacts have transitioned.

    • Ensure the workflow is published for contacts to progress through the DRIPs.
